How much does it cost to use FreePP network?
It depends. FreePP to FreePP calls are free while the call rates from FreePP to mobiles or landlines vary.

What equipment and software do I need to use FreePP?
To use FreePP, you have two options:

1. Install FreePP into your computer with the following minimum hardware and software:
　♦ Operating System - Windows XP / 2000
　♦ Processor - 366 MHz or faster recommended
　♦ Memory - 128 MB RAM or better
　♦ A sound card
　♦ A computer headset with a built-in microphone
　♦ An Internet connection with connection speed of 56 Kbps or bette
 
2. Have a PPBOX to make and receive calls without a computer but a traditional telephone is needed.

Does my Internet connection speed influence the sound quality?
Do not worry about the connection speed that you have. Give it a try and you will experience the best sound quality that FreePP offers, significantly better than the sound quality of cell phones or traditional telephones.

How do I install FreePP?
To install FreePP, please go to the download page, which provides you with the latest version of FreePP. When executing it, the installation wizard will guide you through the whole installation procedure automatically.

How do I make a call with FreePP?
There are a couple of different ways to enter numbers in FreePP. You can either click on the digits on FreePP’s keypad or enter numbers directly on your computer keyboard. After you finish entering numbers, click the dial button (green phone) on the dial pad or press Enter on your keyboard.
You can also double-click on the Friend's name or select your Friend's name with the mouse, click on the "Call" button to start your instant voice conversation.

Can my family use my computer as well as FreePP?
Definitely. Your family can apply for a different FreePP ID to log in FreePP on your computer and enjoy the excellent voice quality.

How do I invite a friend who is already a FreePP user?
Click on the "add" button to add a friend in the main window. When the dialogue box pops up, enter your friend's FreePP ID and then an invitation notice will be sent. The next time your friend logs in FreePP, he/she will see your invitation.

How do I remove a friend?
Select a friend’s name, right click on the mouse, select the option "Delete Contact, " and you will not see this person on the list.

What should I do if I cannot login?
Check the following steps:

1. Check whether your network connection is working properly. You can use web browser to make sure the connection is working.

2. FreePP or BOX works with NATs and most firewalls. However, sometimes while you are behind a firewall or NAT, FreePP or BOX might not be compatible with your network configuration. Please ask for network administer's help.

How do I change my password on FreePP?
On the menu, go to File | Change Password. In the dialog box, enter your current password and your new password. Then click OK. Your new password is immediately activated.

How do I report bugs?
If you find a bug or encounter problems when using FreePP or BOX, please post your bug or problem description on the FEEDBACK page on our FreePP website.

How do I uninstall FreePP?
To uninstall FreePP, choose Start | Programs | FreePP | Uninstall FreePP. The uninstall wizard will guide you through removing FreePP from your computer.

Can I make calls to regular telephones or mobiles?
Certainly yes! In case your friends or family are not FreePP users, you can always “FreePP OUT” to their telephones or mobile phones at the lowest rates. Check the Dialing instruction.
